Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Manager to join a well-established food manufacturer based in Plymouth, Devon. The role is based on working a weekend night shift (6pm-6am Thursday-Saturday & 1 in every 4 Sunday). You can expect to achieve a salary of up to £40,000.
The Role
Reporting into the operations manager, you will be responsible for the weekend shift which has around 30 members of staff including 2 Line Leaders.
Duties will include:
- Leading & innovating the production shift to deliver against KPI’s
- Motivating your team
- Coaching, developing & mentoring staff and proactively improving the day to day running of the production lines
- Managing all day to day factory operations including H&S / Training, etc
- Improving downtime and understand Production Losses
- Strict adherence to, implementation of, and responsibility for all site rules including Health & Safety and HR (people management e.g. appraisals, disciplinary, appraisal, performance issues, sickness)
- Ensure optimal output and efficiency of all lines
The Person
- Have previous supervisory/managerial experience
- Be prepared to be hands on
- FMCG experience
- Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
- Be able to multi-task and have good organisational skills
- Be constantly mindful of ethical standards both personally and professionally always showing integrity, reliability and trustworthiness
